Thursday Sessions
Thursday’s program highlighted key advancements in research, innovation and global collaboration. Dr. Tom Field opened with The Hereford Quest for Excellence, followed by Dorian and Daniel Garrick’s look at Beef Cattle Improvement – Past, Present and Future. Country reports featured updates from Argentina, Germany, Kazakhstan, South Africa and Paraguay. Merck Animal Health’s Tiago Arantes discussed innovation in cattle health, and Shane Bedwell and Dr. Dan Shike presented Hereford F1 Efficiency Impacts.The day concluded with additional country presentations from Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada and the Hereford Cattle Society.

Friday Sessions
Friday’s sessions focused on progress, sustainability and the future of the breed. Shane Bedwell opened with a historical look at the National Reference Sire Program, followed by Dr. Mark Enns’ insights on genetic improvement of Hereford sustainability traits. Country reports featured updates from Australia, Ireland, Estonia and Uruguay. The Young Breeders Competition and HYFA Scholarship Luncheon, presented by VitaFerm, celebrated youth achievement. Afternoon topics included Dr. Greg Thoma’s lifecycle assessment research and remarks from AHA Executive Vice President, Jack Ward.

OCT. 25
SATURDAY SESSIONS
Saturday centered on the American Hereford Association’s Annual Meeting, recognizing leadership, achievement and industry excellence. Attendees honored the newest Hereford Hall of Fame and Hall of Merit inductees, the Commercial Producer of the Year, Golden and Century Breeders, Certified Hereford Beef award winners and the National Hereford Woman of the Year. Association business was conducted, including key updates and committee reports, and the meeting concluded with the election of new board members who will help guide the breed’s continued progress.

Evening Beef Festival
Join domestic and international Hereford breeders at the American Hereford Association’s to kick off the World Hereford Conference, tour the Association headquarters and take in the rich history of the Hereford breed. Certified Hereford Beef® will be available with wine and whiskey pairings to taste from across the United States, along with local entertainment. Transportation from the headquarter hotel to the event is included.

Thursday Event Pass
The Thursday event pass is perfect for those who can only attend a portion of the event. This pass will include continental breakfast and lunch, along with access to a robust set of educational sessions hosted during the day and access to the industry trade show.

Friday Event Pass
The Friday Event Pass is a chance to take part in education and a night of entertainment with fellow Hereford breeders. This pass will include continental breakfast and lunch, along with access to a dynamic set of educational sessions hosted during the day and access to the trade show. Included in the Friday Event Pass is a ticket to the Global Celebratory Banquet, which is sure to be a highlight of the event.
Hotel accommodations are NOT included but can be reserved here. May be combined with other a la carte options.

Global Celebratory Banquet
Embark on an unforgettable evening as Hereford enthusiasts from around the world come together to celebrate a shared passion for the breed. Join us to exchange ideas, forge friendships and celebrate the global impact and rich heritage of Hereford cattle. The Global Celebratory Banquet is a dressy evening event with Western style. Attendees are encouraged to wear business or cocktail attire, sport coats, dress shirts and blouses, or dresses are appropriate. Polished denim and boots are welcome for a classic Western look.
Please note, a clear bag policy will be in place for this event.

Saturday Event Pass
Join us on Saturday for a jam-packed day celebrating the Hereford breed. We’ll kick off the morning with breakfast, awards ceremonies for high-achieving Hereford breeders and the AHA Annual Membership Meeting. On Saturday afternoon, winners of the Young Breeders Competition will be announced at the American Royal Complex, followed by the National Junior Hereford Association female show and International Genetics Sale. All guests who are attending Saturday only are asked to complete a registration form to assist with planning.

Full Event Registration
Full Registration for the World Hereford Conference includes transportation to and from the hotel for the Evening Beef Festival hosted at the American Hereford Association headquarters on Wednesday evening, and other events at the American Royal facilities; meals including (Wednesday's Evening Beef Festival), three breakfasts, lunch on Thursday and Friday, Friday evening's Global Celebratory banquet, educational sessions and access to the industry trade show. Lunch on Saturday is not included but a wide variety of local favorites will be available at the American Royal.
